Menu Foods issued a massive recall of its products on March 16th. The move came after reports that several animals had died in Canada and the US after eating wet pet food. Paul Henderson, the company's CEO, offered an apology to pet owners across North America. (Testing of some of the recalled pet foods, and the wheat gluten used in their production, turned up the chemical melamine, commonly used to make kitchenware and other plastics.)
