A Newfoundland man portrayed at his murder trial as a chronic liar and a scared, insecure man, was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2002 drownings of his twin daughters. Nelson Hart's mother, Pearl, said while she accepted the jury's verdict, she still believed her son was innocent. (Hart, who broke down and cried after the verdict was read, was sentenced to life in prison with no parole for 25 years.)
