A stunning revelation was made May 9th at the Air India inquiry. A former Quebec provincial police officer said the Air India bombing might have been prevented if he'd been able to search the flight's baggage. Serge Carignan said he and his sniffer dog were called to Mirabel Airport in June 1985 but Flight 182 had already left when he got there. Carignan was asked by counsel for the Air India inquiry what would have happened if he'd been able to search unaccompanied luggage. (The Air India jet exploded off the coast of Ireland, killing 329 people.)
