On August 28th, the Ontario Court of Appeal acquitted Steven Truscott, who waged a 48-year battle to clear his name of murder. The court ruled Truscott was a victim of a "miscarriage of justice" in being convicted in 1959 of the rape and murder of 12-year-old Lynne Harper. Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant said the file on the case was now closed.
