A Canadian soldier died June 7th in Afghanistan after falling into a well during a night-time patrol west of Kandahar. Captain Jonathan Snyder was a member of 1st Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based in Edmonton. Brigadier-General Denis Thompson, commander of Canadian troops said Snyder was on his second tour of Afghanistan and was an inspiration to his fellow soldiers.
