Ontario announced June 16th that it would ban smoking in cars with children. A government-backed proposal to ban the practice passed in the legislature with all three parties supporting the bill. Health Promotion Minister Margarett Best said she expected most people to comply with the ban. (The legislation gives police the power to fine adults 250 dollars if they're caught smoking in a car carrying anyone under the age of 16.)
