Royal Canadian Mounted Police laid fraud charges June 19th against former Nortel Networks CEO Frank Dunn and two other former executives of the telecommunications equipment maker. Dunn was charged with fraud affecting the public securities market, as well as with falsification of accounts and documents and issuing a false prospectus. Joel Rochon, the lawyer who represented Nortel shareholders who sued the company, said he expected his clients to be pleased. But he added that the RCMP's actions were too little, too late. (Rochon said many lives were ruined by the Nortel fiasco.)
