Conrad Black lost his appeal to overturn fraud and obstruction of justice convictions relating to Hollinger International. Legal observer Jacob Frenkel said the June 25th decision by the US Court of Appeals in Chicago meant Black had nowhere to go from there. (Black was serving a six-and-a-half year sentence in a Florida prison after being convicted on three counts of fraud and one of obstruction of justice along with three other executives.)
