Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed his new cabinet on October 30th, increasing the number of ministers from 32 to 38. Harper said he wanted to project an image of stability in the face of the world economic crisis. He said that was one of the most important principles in picking his new cabinet. Harper described his cabinet as an outstanding economic team. Harper brought in three rookie women and juggled two dozen posts in the sweeping cabinet shuffle.
