The Toronto stock market fell more than 750 points on November 20th. It was the first time the market closed below eight thousand since late 2003. Canadian Press reporter Clint Thomas explained that negative news ripped through key market sectors, including energy and banks. (The Canadian dollar also had a huge single-day drop. It fell more than two-and-a-half cents to close at 77.31 cents US.)
