Former hockey coach David Frost was found not guilty of sexual exploitation. Frost was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation from his time as a coach of the Junior A Quinte Hawks team in eastern Ontario in 1996 and 1997. Steve Jefferson attended nearly every day of the trial. His son Mike Danton is in prison in the US for a failed murder-for-hire plot with Frost allegedly as the intended target. Danton was one of Frost's inner circle, along with the young men who the charges related to. Outside court, Jefferson was visibly angry. (The judge said the trial exposed a dark and very unhealthy side of hockey.)
