A Muskoka, Ontario golf club and 16 of its directors and employees were charged with serving too much alcohol in connection with a car crash that killed three young men. The July, 2008 accident occurred after Tyler Mulcahy, Cory Mintz, and Kourosh Totonchian had been dining and drinking at the Lake Joseph Club. Andrew Murie, CEO of MADD Canada, said he hoped the charges would serve as a wake-up call. (A police spokeswoman said the 34 charges under the Liquor License Act related to allowing drunkenness on licensed premises and supplying liquor to an apparently intoxicated person. Charges were later dropped against 11 employees and two former Clublink executives.)
