The Canadian Auto Workers reached a labor agreement with General Motors of Canada as part of the automaker's restructuring. The March 8th deal was announced by CAW President Ken Lewenza, who said under the deal, auto workers made "significant sacrifices" to help ensure the company remained viable with government assistance in the form of loans. (Members of the CAW voted overwhelmingly in favor of the deal.)
