Ottawa software developer Momin Khawaja was sentenced March 12th to 10 and a half years in prison on top of time already served. He had been convicted on five counts of financing and facilitating terrorism for his role in a 2004 British bomb conspiracy. Defense lawyer Lawrence Greenspon said the Khawaja family was disappointed with the sentence. (It was the first sentence handed down under Canada's 2001 Anti-Terrorism Act.)
