Curtis Dagenais was found guilty and sentenced to mandatory life imprisonment with no chance of parole for 25 years. He was convicted in the July, 2006 shooting deaths of two Saskatchewan RCMP officers and the attempted murder of another. Howard Cameron, the father of one of the slain officers, called the March 13th verdict, bittersweet. (Dagenais admitted during his three-week trial that he shot the RCMP constables but claimed it was in self-defense.)
