A 17-year-old girl, identified only as M.T., was found guilty March 20th of first-degree murder. Fourteen-year-old Stefanie Rengel was stabbed six times and found lying in the snow outside her parents' house New Year's Day 2008. Following the verdict, crown prosecutor Robin Flumerfelt read a statement from Stefanie's family outside the courthouse. (Melissa Todorovic's name became public when she was later sentenced as an adult to life in prison with no chance of parole for seven years. Her lawyer appealed both the conviction and sentence.)
