On April 26th, Canadian health authorities confirmed the first cases of swine flu in this country. Four students at a private school in Nova Scotia came down with the illness. Nova Scotia's public health officer, Dr. Robert Strang, said all four students experienced only mild cases of the flu. (British Columbia confirmed two cases of swine flu in that province on the same day. The cases in both provinces were linked to Mexican travel.)
