About 12-hundred Halifax-area residents were forced to flee their homes April 30th after a brush fire broke out on the outskirts of the city. Theresa Bell said she barely had time to get dressed when police ordered her family to evacuate. (Officials say eight buildings on two streets were destroyed and a number of others suffered damage ranging from "mild to severe.")
