Liberal MP Ruby Dhalla stepped down from her post as the Liberal Party's youth and multiculturalism critic on May 6th. It was alleged Dhalla mistreated foreign caregivers and paid them under the table. Dhalla said the allegations were unsubstantiated. (Two caregivers who worked in the Dhalla home said they were asked to do extra chores, from cleaning the family's chiropractic clinics to washing cars and shining shoes and were not properly paid.)
