Preview Clip

On June 24th, former Nova Scotia premier Rodney MacDonald announced his resignation as Progressive Conservative leader after the party's dismal showing in the June 9th provincial election. He led the Tories to an electoral victory in the June, 2006 provincial election, but only managed to secure a minority government. MacDonald said the decision to leave wasn't that difficult in the end. (Former health minister Karen Casey was chosen by caucus to lead the party as interim leader.)
