Sapper Matthieu Allard, 21, and Corporal Christian Bobbitt, 23, were killed August 1st after their convoy was hit with two IEDs while on a refueling mission in Zhari district, west of Kandahar City in Afghanistan. Brigadier-General Jonathan Vance paid tribute to the men. (Both soldiers were members of the 5th Combat Engineer Regiment, based in Valcartier, Quebec.)
