Preview Clip

It was a shocking loss for the Alberta Tories. On September 14th, the party was turfed in a Calgary riding it had held since 1960. Progressive Conservative candidate Diane Colley-Urquhart came in third in a provincial byelection, behind the Wildrose Alliance and the Liberals. Newly minted Wildrose Alliance MLA Paul Hinman said voters rejected Premier Ed Stelmach's policies. (Hinman said he would not seek leadership of the Wildrose Alliance Party. Danielle Smith won the leadership of the right-wing party in October.)
