In a surprise move, Vincent (vah-SAHN') Lacroix, an accused trust-fund scammer, pleaded guilty September 21st to 200 fraud-related charges. Lacroix had been accused of defrauding over nine-thousand investors and illegally appropriating more than 100 million dollars. Pierre Gravel, one of Lacroix's victims, said it was time to get tough on white collar crime. (Gravel said Lacroix's guilty pleas would save Quebec taxpayers money on a costly trial.)
