Longtime Liberal MP Denis Coderre resigned as the party's Quebec lieutenant and defense critic. Coderre blamed unnamed "advisers from Toronto" for interfering with his home province's affairs. Coderre said his attack on Toronto-based officials in the Liberal party was warranted, given that leader Michael Ignatieff went on to make badly-needed changes to his staff.
