Twenty-four-year-old Nova Scotia soldier Corporal Matthew Wilcox was sentenced September 30th to four years in prison and dismissed from the military for shooting his tent mate, Corporal Kevin Megeney, 25, to death in Afghanistan in 2007. Megeney's mother, Karen, said there could be no perfect outcome in this kind of trial. (Wilcox was convicted in July of negligent performance of duty and criminal negligence causing death.)
