Toronto Public Health officials confirmed on October 27th that swine flu killed an otherwise healthy Toronto teen who fell ill suddenly and died on October 26th. Thirteen-year-old Evan Frustaglio, an avid hockey player, became ill, went to a walk-in clinic and was later sent home as he seemed to be on the mend. The boy's father, Paul Frustaglio, said he was in shock over the loss of his son. (Health officials said the death of the boy emphasized the importance of getting vaccinated.)
