CN Rail and the Teamsters union reached a deal December 2nd to end a strike by locomotive engineers which began November 28th. Labor Minister Rona Ambrose said back-to-work legislation introduced by the federal government played a key role in ending the strike. (CN Rail is the country's largest railway, and the government cited worries about the economy to justify the back-to-work bill.)
