Prime Minister Stephen Harper became the first Canadian leader to address South Korea's National Assembly, using a December 7th speech to emphasize ties between the two countries. Harper said Canada was well-positioned to help grow Asian economies. He spoke of Canada's role as he ended his visit to South Korea. Harper said Canada's traditional trading partners, the US and Europe, will be mired in slow growth for some time.
