Celebrations marking the arrival of the Olympic torch in Ottawa were in full swing on December 12th. Senator Romeo Dallaire was among the torch bearers. He was beaming after completing his leg. Dallaire, who witnessed the Rwandan genocide 15 years ago, said the Olympics bring hope that nations can compete without violence.
