A part-time grocery store cashier from London, Ontario who won half of a 42.2 million dollar Lotto 6/49 jackpot picked up her cheque in Toronto on March 22nd. Forty-nine-year-old Bonnie Preece said she'd been forced to declare bankruptcy a few years earlier after her first marriage ended and she couldn't even get a credit card. Preece said she was still trying to come to grips with having that much money. (A 40-year-old Edmonton woman claimed the second half of the jackpot on April 1st. Joanne Tsetta, an unemployed mother of two, said the windfall would help her family live more comfortably.)
