On April 1st, the RCMP announced a 20-thousand dollar contribution to a scholarship fund in honor of Robert Dziekanski (zhih-KAN'-ski). Pacific Region Deputy Commissioner Gary Bass also offered a formal apology for his death to Dziekanski's mother, Zofia Cisowski (chi-SOFF'-skee). (Dziekanski died after being Tasered at Vancouver's airport in 2007.)
