The mother of a 13-year-old murder victim said she had mixed feelings over the Supreme Court of Canada's decision to deny the appeals of two of her daughter's killers. Peacha Atkinson said the April 8th rulings wouldn't bring back her daughter, Nina Courtepatte, who was raped and murdered on a muddy golf course west of Edmonton in 2005. (The court restored the first-degree murder conviction of 23-year-old Joseph Laboucan and ruled 38-year-old Michael Briscoe would face a new trial after he was originally acquitted.)
