Colonel Russell Williams, the former commander of CFB Trenton facing murder and sexual assault charges, was charged April 29th with 82 additional offences, mostly break and enter and thefts in Tweed, Ontario and the Fallingbrook area of Ottawa. The mayor of the city of Quinte West in Ontario said people would be relieved that police laid more charges against Williams. Mayor John Williams said the unsolved crimes had people on edge. (Colonel Williams was arrested and charged in February with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Corporal Marie-France Comeau of Brighton, Ontario, and Jessica Lloyd of Belleville.)
