On May 10th, Canada's so-called Prince of Pot was ordered extradited to the United States, ending his high-profile five-year battle to avoid American drug charges related to his Canadian marijuana seed-selling business. Marc Emery said Canada had worked with the United States for years to see him behind bars. (Emery was sent to the US on May 20th and on May 24th pleaded guilty to drug distribution. Under an agreement with US prosecutors he received a five-year prison sentence.)
