Canadian Trooper Larry Rudd died May 24th after an IED detonated near a village about 20 kilometers southwest of Kandahar City while he was on a combat re-supply patrol. Colonel Simon Hetherington, the deputy commander of Task Force Kandahar, said the 26-year-old would be remembered as a tough soldier who didn't complain -- no matter what he went through. (The Brantford, Ontario, native was the 146th Canadian military member to die in the eight-year-old Afghan mission.)
