During the Queen's visit to Canada, she presided over an international fleet review in Halifax harbor. She inspected more than two dozen ships from aboard a Canadian warship before unveiling a plaque paying tribute to HMCS Sackville -- the last of the Canadian navy's wartime corvettes. Sidney Gould, a former member of the Royal Navy who served on corvettes, said he was thrilled to see the Queen. (The Queen later attended a Celebration of Nova Scotia reception at the Cunard Centre. After a tree-planting ceremony at Government House, she left for Ottawa to take part in Canada Day celebrations.)
