Flash floods triggered by intense thunderstorms on July 1st turned streets into rivers in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The waters sent people fleeing -- some by canoe -- for higher ground. Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall toured the devastated area the next day. (About a thousand homes in low-lying areas of the city were damaged.)
