Prime Minister Stephen Harper shuffled a couple of cabinet posts August 6th -- promoting a backbencher to the Indian Affairs Department and shifting two veterans. Harper said the changes were necessary. (Outspoken John Baird became government House leader, Chuck Strahl replaced him as transport minister and backbencher John Duncan took over as Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.)
