American actor Randy Quaid's wife Evi received her Canadian citizenship February 10th. She formally applied to sponsor her husband and he was granted permanent resident status. Randy Quaid said they appreciated their stay in Canada. (The couple had been arrested in Vancouver in October, 2010 and sought refugee status for fear of being murdered in the US by what they described as "Hollywood star whackers.")
