Former deputy premier Christy Clark was elected BC Liberal leader February 26th on the third ballot. The radio talk show host painted herself as a party outsider after Premier Gordon Campbell resigned over the party's disastrous implementation of the harmonized sales tax. Clark said she would hear the concerns of British Columbians and promised a fresh start. (Clark was sworn in as premier on March 14th.)
