RCMP used a stun gun in arresting an 11-year-old boy at a group home in Prince George, BC. Police were called April 7th after an adult staff member was stabbed. Police say they used a Taser on the boy because he posed a danger to himself and others. David Eby of the BC Civil Liberties Association said there is so little knowledge of how the devices affect adults, let alone children. (Two officers were placed on administrative leave but returned to full duties in June. An independent review by West Vancouver police concluded the use of a Taser was justified.)

Transcript Prediction: << for children and seniors it's even more limited because the incidents are so few and far between and so when you have someone very low body mass and hearts that are still developing in these kind of things that matter concern that we have is if you don't know what outcome the device is going to have including death then it really should be a last resort >>
