Parti Quebecois Leader Pauline Marois called on her supporters to lay the foundations for independence. She made the pitch after garnering a solid 93.1 per cent support during an April 16th confidence vote. In a speech closing out a policy convention, the PQ leader told supporters they would have their country of Quebec. At a wrap-up news conference, she said her strong support would be a big help. (The confidence vote of 93.1 per cent topped the 92 per cent backing that popular PQ leader Jacques Parizeau garnered 20 years earlier.)
