Stephen Harper's Conservatives were re-elected May 2nd to a third consecutive mandate and their first majority government after winning 166 of 308 seats in the federal election. Harper entered his election night headquarters to the cheers and congratulations of ecstatic supporters. He told the crowd Canadians chose a government that was united and strong. Harper said he would implement what his party set out in its budget -- create jobs and growth without raising taxes.
