The brother of a Canadian woman who killed herself after getting encouragement from an online predator spoke out against the sentence the man received in a US court. William Melchert-Dinkle (MEL'-kurt DINK'-ehl) was sentenced May 4th to less than a year in a Minnesota jail after being convicted of encouraging Nadia Kajouji (ka-JOO'-jee) and a British man to commit suicide. Mark Kajouji said the sentence was too light. (Kajouji said the sentence wouldn't do much to deter others from committing similar crimes.)
