A bishop in Nova Scotia apologized May 4th to victims of child abuse for the pain they experienced after Bishop Raymond Lahey's guilty plea to a child pornography charge. Bishop Brian Dunn of the diocese of Antigonish said the church wanted to continue on a path of reconciliation. (Lahey was arrested after arriving in Ottawa on a flight from London on September 15th, 2009, bearing a passport that contained stamps for Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. The 70-year-old Lahey, a former bishop of Antigonish, pleaded guilty in an Ottawa courtroom to importing child pornography.)
