Soldiers were deployed May 5th to help flood victims deal with entire neighborhoods under water in southeastern Quebec. About 28-hundred people were forced from their homes, with aerial images showing rows of houses half-submerged along the banks of the Richelieu River. The province's premier, Jean Charest, said it was the worst flooding the area had seen in a long time.
