Thousands of people lined downtown streets and filled a concert hall in Toronto August 27th to say their final good-byes to former NDP Leader Jack Layton. At a state funeral for Layton, his son Mike remembered his father as a determined, dedicated man who was also helpful to others. (The Reverend Brent Hawkes said when he was planning Layton's funeral with the former NDP leader, Layton wanted his service to be a celebration of life.)
