On October 10th, Research in Motion suffered what would be the beginning of its worst Blackberry outage ever. Problems with email, texting and Internet services began in Europe and spread throughout the globe. Service was not fully restored until October 13th. (Blackberry subscribers were offered a credit of 100 dollars towards selected premium apps to help make amends for the problem. One analyst estimated the outage could cost RIM at least 26 million dollars.)
