BlackBerry maker Research in Motion's co-CEOs, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis, stepped down January 23rd. They were replaced by former chief operating officer Thorsten Heins, who said he was confident he could pull the troubled company out of a years-long slump. Heins said RIM would complete a major transformation and recover from recent mistakes.
