The Liberals were behind a series of anonymous Internet attacks aimed at Public Safety Minister Vic Toews (TAVES). Interim Liberal Leader Bob Rae revealed February 27th that the staffer responsible had been fired -- and he apologized to Toews in the House of Commons. The minister accepted the apology, but said the Speaker of the House of Commons still needed to investigate the conduct of the Liberals. (Toews came under online attack over his sponsorship of an Internet surveillance bill. An anonymous Twitter post offered details of the minister's divorce proceedings.)
